About Kismet Editing
kis·met \ ‘kiz-ˌmet, -mət \ n. fate.
Kismet means fate and the name was chosen in honor of an auspicious moment, highlighting an unfolding journey.
I had a vision for some time of merging my years of editing experience with my personal studies and practices of astrology, wellness, and yoga. In 2019, when the South Node conjoined my Ascendant, along with Jupiter cazimi and a solar eclipse, I serendipitously met my early yoga mentors. They said our meeting was kismet.
Shortly thereafter, I completed a four-year ancient astrology program — supplementing my ongoing personal studies — and connected with a yoga philosophy mentor, furthering my knowledge and understanding of yogic practices. In 2021, I began serving as an editor for The Mountain Astrologer. In 2023, I was initiated as a master reiki healer, and in 2024, I began leading astrology and yoga classes and workshops in my community.
Since 2019, Kismet Editing has been serving clients in the astrology, tarot, wellness, and yoga communities. Often, our journey only becomes clear in hindsight, and it was through third-house connections and ninth-house experiences that Kismet Editing took flight.

Some of my passions are learning and practicing traditional astrology and diving into yoga philosophy and practice. I created Kismet Editing as a way to merge my editing skills and experience with my long-standing personal studies and interests.

I’ve worked more than 25 years in the public sector, managing administrative departments and providing services to the public and public employees, supporting elected and appointed officials, and writing and editing myriad documents, products, and publications for wide-reaching and diverse audiences. I’ve owned my editing business since 2019, serving clients in the niche of divination, contemplation, and wellness.
